Big Blue Western Skies

Written by Rory Faithfield on the 31st January 2009 in Busselton, Western Australia

She squinted into the light
Those western rays were far too bright
Burning on her skin
Rubbed the sleep out of her eyes
And turned her back on darker skies
Said it's time to let it in

I can see you
So much better
Under big blue western skies

Walked the path with sunburnt feet
Drawn by a distant beat
To the solitary shore
Of glistening sands, broken shells
A hundred thousand fare-thee-wells
And something new she could not ignore

I can see you
So much better
Under big blue western skies

She squinted into the light
The western rays were far too bright
On that solitary shore
Of glistening sands, broken shells
A hundred thousand fare-thee-wells
And something new she could not ignore

Something new she could not ignore

I can see you
So much better
Under big blue western skies

Big blue
Big blue western skies
Big blue
Big blue western skies
I can see you, so much better now
